Contract Warehousing was founded in 1978 when Managing Director Rod Giles recognised that Closer Economic Relations would mean more Australian companies would take advantage of the opportunity to enter the New Zealand market if they could do it without high set-up costs.

From its earliest days, many Contract Warehousing clients have had an international perspective and this has resulted in the majority of his clients being based overseas.

It is this experience and understanding gained over the years in supporting companies that may not actually have any personal based in NZ . CWL understands the greater need to be vigilant in supporting these clients. Making allowance for the international time differences. Providing greater attention to details and information that may not be understood due to language interruption differences. Keeping clients informed if there are delays due to weather events that they would be unaware of as they are in a totally different part of the world. Advising of any legal or law changes that they become aware of that may affect them. These pieces of information help the client on the way to being successful in the NZ marketplace.

We obtain enquiries from throughout the world from prospective clients that understand their own lack of desire to be physically involved but are unsure or do not know or do not understand all the possible options. In a number of cases they are vaguely aware of the 3rd party concept but do not know anything further.
